Job Description – Air Duct Cleaner and Aeroseal Technician

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Marion, Lake, Alachua, Citrus Counties
Reports To: HVAC Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Air Duct Cleaner and Aeroseal Technician is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and sealing residential and commercial HVAC air duct systems. This includes performing air duct cleaning services using specialized tools and equipment, as well as applying Acroscal technology to improve indoor air quality and HVAC system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Air Duct Cleaning

  • Inspect HVAC systems and ductwork and diagnostic tools
  • Clean air ducts, vents, and registers using negative air machines and compressed air
  • Remove contaminants such as dust, mold, and debris from duct systems
  • Ensure containment of debris and protect client property during service

Aeroseal Services

  • Prepare ductwork for Aeroseal sealing (masking registers, prepping connections)
  • Set up and operate Aeroseal sealing equipment
  • Perform leakage testing before and after sealing
  • Monitor computer systems and ensure proper sealant distribution
  • Explain results and improvements to customers, including sealing reports

Additional Duties

  • Maintain and clean tools, vehicles, and workspaces
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer client questions
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures
  • Drive to client locations (residential and commercial)
  • Complete job reports and collect customer feedback

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use power tools
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems (preferred)
  • Experience with Acroscal technology (preferred but not required; training provided)

Physical Requirement

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, or basements
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
